Spinal Adjustments

Chiropractic spinal adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is a therapeutic technique used by licensed chiropractors to treat various musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those affecting the spine. This hands-on procedure involves applying controlled force to specific joints of the spine that have become restricted in their movement or misaligned.

The primary goals of spinal adjustment are to:

During the procedure, chiropractors use their hands or specialized instruments to apply sudden, controlled force to a spinal joint, often resulting in an audible “pop” or “crack” sound. This sound is caused by the release of gas bubbles from the joint fluid.
